About Megan Ruth Baxter

Megan Baxter was inspired to reach people and affect change in her youth after witnessing acts of injustice as a child. She began her work as a writer, performing artist and educator/activist as a youth in Canada where she published a newsmagazine dedicated to social change as a teenager. She was initiated into ancient healing practices at this time. Megan continued to develop her craft working on a variety of productions and through attending a university creative writing program in British Columbia.
As a young adult she was able to actualize a vision which brought over 3,000 people together for healing and performing arts. This was followed by intensive Meisner Method acting training for two and a half years. Becoming a practitioner of this work, she gained deep understanding of the power of the emotions and of living truthfully in imaginary circumstances.

In 1987 she began a daily spiritual practice which began to influence her work. In 1990 she conducted her first workshop in theatre as a context for healing in Vancouver, British Columbia with the Squamish Nation Indian Band. She has also shared her creative gifts in Europe, New Zealand and the United States through a variety of ceremonies, healing and performing art opportunities.

In 1999 she opened her healing arts practice in North Atlanta offering sessions and designing medicinal aromatic oil blends for doctors. Her innovative services have also included facilitating wisdom circles and providing motivational theatre and yoga programs. In 2000 she formed Clarity Springs Inc. which is dedicated to the wellbeing and innate holistic intelligence within individuals, families, organizations and communities.

In 2002 Megan met her current writing mentor in North Atlanta who guided her further in her development as a writer and also as a P.E.E.R. Facilitator to further enhance her integrative healing work. She recently completed a full length Play which had the first staged reading in September, 2007. This creative work is also emerging as a healing play/ workshop to help people discover their core story. Through creativity, comedy and rituals people are invited to remember their relationship to the earth. Megan is committed to individual and social exploration of deep ecology and to creating systems for personal and planetary peace.
